Why a cow?
Why did we choose a cow for our logo? A common cow? The answer is simple.

Look not at the cow as just another animal from the farm. No, sir. In our logo, you behold a wonderful creature that traces its roots to the legendary lineage of the Artiodactyla clan, phylogenetically tracing its ancestors back to the Cetartiodactyla family. According to Encyclopædia Britannica, even-toed ungulates like the cow are ‘of more economic and cultural benefit than any other group of mammals’. The core value we stand for is valuable, useful to people. Perfect match!

As you can see in the paragraph above (if you managed to read it completely – bravo!), serious research has gone into choosing the most suitable mascot for our brand. Cows are friendly, useful and can run faster than horses in a marsh. Cows don’t bite. They’re cool.

Cows are social animals, just like us (why not join our herd on Twitter and Facebook). Most importantly, cows communicate not with a threatening roar or an annoying howl – but a warm and friendly ‘moo’. Which rhymes with ‘you’. Hence our name, moosavings. Moore savings, just for you!
